Ontario’s Local Building Trades Councils

Ontario’s Local Building Trades Councils (LBTCs) are internationally chartered Councils that consist of Building Trades unions in towns and cities across the province.

These Councils represent local construction craft talent across a variety of trades in all bargaining sectors within the construction industry. They are an indispensable part of the community, offering highly trained, safe and productive construction professionals who possess the skills and knowledge needed to build the infrastructure that Ontario’s economy depends on.

The LBTCs are the local gateway to training and apprenticeship opportunities for entrants to the construction industry, in addition to helping construction contractors and owners meet their human resource demands when building various projects.
