Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post operational inspections 
- Prepare, transport, assemble and dismantle mobile cranes 
- Plan crane ‘lifts’ including calculating crane capacity and determining load weight 
- Perform rigging

- Excellent communication skills, often with hand signals 
- Strong depth perception and hand-eye coordination 
- Ability to estimate distances and load weights 
- Working outdoors

Apprenticeship Program
3000 hours of on-the-job training, supplemented by one 6-week and one 3-week block of in-class technical training.
Entrance Requirements
- Attend an Information Session 
- High school transcript or high school diploma (equivalent GED) 
- Resume & Cover Letter 
- Pass Trade Entrance Exam 
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence 
Journeyperson Wage Rate
$56.49/Hr (Based on the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area wages, 2024)
